Becoming Heroes & Villains
These words are obviously interchangeable as those statuses are being assigned according to someone’s perspective(s) regardless of their true attributes. Let’s take SL Civil War (1983-2009) as an example. All those times the people who were faithful to SL government president Mahinda Rajapaksa was a hero, and the obvious villain was the LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran. However for the people who were faithful to LTTE, the hero and the villain figures were completely opposite. How interesting is that?
...in my opinion, naming someone a hero or a villain is up to someone else who would like to see it that way. That could be complete delusion but unfortunately no one can help!
